National Encaustic Conference

I will give the keynote address at the 3rd Annual National Encaustic Conference on Friday, June the 5th. The conference is hosted by Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts and organized by Joanne Mattera. On Monday, June the 7th, I will give an all-day workshop entitled "Critical Feedback." During this workshop participants will explore writing about, talking about, and listening to critical discourse regarding their art.

  1. The keynote address and the "Critical Feedback" workshop were both GREAT! aka informative and challenging intellectually. My inbox is stuffed with continued dialog from people I met at the conference as we process and digest the many points you offered.

  4. I regret not being able to attend the Montserrat conference this year- are there notes posted anywhere on your keynote address, or a good synopsis? I am very interested in how the medium of encaustic relates to the larger world of contemporary painting.
